You have the opportunity to use various training resources developed by Marriott Lodging/Marriott International, Inc. to broaden your knowledge of our company’s techniques and operations. You are provided with additional training based on Marriott’s Individual Development Concept of training.
In this job you are trained in and responsible for:
Front Office (60%)
Reviewing front desk policies, procedures, memos and methodologies.
How to utilize the hotel reservation system and how to keep an inventory of rooms. reservations.
Providing information about services available in the hotel and in the community.
Running and checking daily reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports.
Night Audit (10%)
Ensuring that the previous day’s accounting entries have been recorded properly.
Ensuring that the appropriate reports are generated and stored per standard procedure.
Providing excellent guest service to our hotel guests during overnight hours.
Room Division (10%)
Appropriately assigning guestrooms and developing strategies to ensure maximum efficiency.
Understanding the strategies behind additional revenue-generating opportunities (i.e.: upgrades).
Communicating effectively regarding rooms availability to internal STARS.
Mastering outstanding level communication skills.
Developing skills to provide guest service based on the hotel’s standards.
Mastering the understanding of hotel’s rooms reservations system.
Developing organizational skills.
Understanding the Hotel revenue model.
Applicants must be:
A hospitality, hotel management, food & beverage management student or a recent graduate.
Able to communicate in English.
Experience is not a must but a plus.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $15.00 per hour
15 days discounted housing option
